Overview: The school is small, it is an academy. Some of the staff is young, teaching fellows. The teachers in the school are called professors. They have a laptop cart with Dell computers and a couple of Smart boards. The younger teachers use technology but not necessarily with students. I had observed a couple of teachers that struggled with classroom management. The principal is interested in technology. She was not familiar with our services not with Protraxx. I had explained our PD services and Protraxx to her. We also discussed Smart boards and how to use them in the classroom. She is thinking (prior to budget cuts) on purchasing some more. She was interested in our offerings and we had discussed the possibility of an onsite PD, especially one that targets using the smart board in the classroom.
